Santa Tecla, El Salvador - The new San Rafael Hospital in Santa Tecla, El Salvador, suffered severe structural damage during the earthquakes of 2001, and was unable to continue functioning. It is currently being rebuilt using anti-seismic norms and standards, in the hope that this will save the building from suffering a similar fate in the future.
